Lakeside Quilting Guild donated our Chicago Geese quilt to the raffle for the Comer Hospital Service Committee 50th Anniversary Irish Coffee on Saturday, March 11.  The event takes place at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 South Woodlawn Avenue) 2:00-4:30pm. Guild members have free admission. Just tell the greeters that you are a guild member.

In addition to our quilt, the Irish Coffee raffle prizes include an I Phone SE, a night out in Hyde Park including Hyatt stay, Apple I Pad Air 2, a Custom made suit for a man or woman, 20" pearl strand, Fitbit & Chicago Cubs tickets. There are also over one hundred silent auction items including gift certificates to local businesses and unique decorative home goods. There is a costume jewelry table and free refreshments including real Irish Coffee.

Laura is a textile artist, author, teacher and creator of hand dyed fabric and threads. She is
known for combining whimsical stories and vivid fabrics to make pictorial art quilts. Hear her
share the story of her colorful hand-embroidered fused art quilts. Learn how she makes the
quilts, dyes the thread, and selects the stitches. Presentation includes catchy tunes sung about
