Members (and any guests) are encouraged to bring fabrics from their stash for possible use in sashing and borders for our Chicago Geese blocks.   We are considering blue, green, turquoise, teal - anything in the blue/green family for these projects, so please dig into those collections to see what you might have that could be donated to the cause!  We'll be laying out blocks and hopefully working on the sashing on Tue, Oct 22 at 7 pm in the Cellar room at Treasure Island (55th and Lake Park)

You will also have an opportunity to go shopping for new fabric on Oct 22.  Marilyn will be bringing a collection of donated fabrics for us to "buy" -- prices will be less than $1 and all proceeds will benefit the Lakeside Quilting Guild.  So bring your pocket change and go home with some new inspiration.

Guild members are invited to the first guild retreat of 2014.  The retreat is scheduled for MLK weekend, Jan. 17-20, 2014 at Threads and Beds quilting retreat center in Danville, IL.  To make your reservation, call the center directly -- you will need to provide them a credit card number to hold your spot and be sure to tell them you are a member of Lakeside Quilting Guild.  That way we'll be grouped together in rooms and in our workspace.
