On March 11, 2014, the Lakeside Quilting Guild of Chicago formally presented to the Management of Treasure Island Foods a quilt handmade especially for the store. Guild members led by President Camille Levi presented the quilt in a dedication ceremony to store Managers Larry Gilman and Dan Schalin. The quilt entitled "Lakeside Treasure" was designed with blocks hand sewn by individual members using the traditional "Chicago Geese" pattern and food-themed fabrics. The quilt was created as a gift of gratitude for Treasure Island's partnership with the guild by providing the space for weekly meetings since the guild's founding in 2012. Treasure Island will display the quilt on public view in the store in the coming weeks. The guild will also be participating in the Hyde Park Quilt show at the United Church of Hyde Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
