Some of you will recall that there were 4 "extra" red and white blocks. There were different ideas about what to do with these blocks and we finally decided they should be made into two standard pillow shams to match the quilt. That way all the blocks that were created will be featured prominently.
It's our latest collaborative quilt! At our weekly work gatherings during September members have been busily assembling the red and white blocks into a finished quilt top. And it's GORGEOUS! Our next steps are to purchase the backing fabric and take the top and backing to our long arm quilter to finish. Depending on our quilter's schedule, members can look forward to seeing the finished quilt at either our November or December meeting.
